Who pays for the services?

Many of our patients do not pay out-of-pocket for therapy. This is because Elite Physiotherapy & Health Centre is an approved provider for:

• Extended Health Insurance (Employee Health Plans)

• Work Safety Insurance Board (WSIB)Ontario Auto Insurers (Motor Vehicle Accidents)

• Blue Cross veterans affairs (RCMP and Canadian Forces Personal)

Will OHIP cover my physiotherapy?

To qualify for OHIP coverage you need to be over 65 or under 18 years of age, be receiving benefits under the Ontario Disability Support Program or Family Works, be a resident of a long-term care home, or require physiotherapy to treat a condition for which you have stayed overnight in a hospital.

If you do qualify, you will need a referral from your doctor and will qualify for an ‘Episode of Care’. Which is specific and time-limited. This program is not meant to treat chronic conditions as the Ministry has funded other programs to serve this purpose.

Elite Physiotherapy & Health Centre is an OHIP clinic serving the Scarborough area. You will need to have your OHIP card and a doctor’s referral note with you to qualify for the program.
